Ruth F. Davis

Ruth F. Davis was a pioneering American scientist and engineer who made significant contributions to early computer and satellite development, holding leadership roles in the U.S. federal government including Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Advanced Technology. She was one of the first women to earn a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Maryland and was inducted into the University of Maryland Hall of Fame in 2000.
