Ruth Elaine Schram
Ruth Elaine Schram began piano and theory lessons at age five, composed her first song at twelve, and studied music at Lancaster Bible College and Millersville State College before teaching elementary music in Pennsylvania.[1][4] Her debut octavo was published in 1988, and since 1992 she has worked full-time as a composer and arranger, producing over 2,500 works known for poignant lyrics and beautiful melodies, with millions of copies sold and annual ASCAP Special Awards since 1990.[1][2] Her compositions appear on albums, Dove Award finalists, certified videos, and TV shows like 'The Sopranos,' and she resides in Birmingham, Alabama.[1]
