Rupert Pennant-Rea

Rupert Pennant-Rea is a British economist, journalist, central banker, and businessman born and raised in Zimbabwe, educated at Trinity College Dublin and the University of Manchester.[1][2][3] He worked at the Bank of England from 1973 to 1977, then spent 16 years at The Economist, including seven as Editor from 1986, before returning as Deputy Governor of the Bank of England.[1][2][3] He has chaired organizations including the Henderson Group, The Stationery Office, and Royal London Group.[1][2]
