Rupert Leo Scott Bruce-Mitford
Rupert Leo Scott Bruce-Mitford (1914–1994) was a British archaeologist and scholar who spent most of his career at the British Museum as keeper of the Department of British and Medieval Antiquities. He is renowned for his extensive work on the Sutton Hoo ship-burial, overseeing the monumental three-volume publication *The Sutton Hoo Ship-Burial*, hailed as one of the great books of the century.
