Royal B. Hassrick

Royal B. Hassrick was an anthropologist and Professor of Anthropology who conducted nearly 25 years of study on Sioux culture and history. He is best known for his work 'The Sioux: Life and Customs of a Warrior Society' (1964), which focuses on the period of 1830-1870 and represents a comprehensive examination of Plains culture during the height of the Sioux nation.
