Roy F. Baumeister
Roy F. Baumeister is an American social psychologist renowned for his research on self-control, the need to belong, social rejection, human sexuality, aggression, free will, and self-esteem. He earned his A.B. from Princeton University in 1974, M.A. from Duke University in 1976, and Ph.D. from Princeton in 1978, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley. A prolific author with over 700 publications and 40 books, including the New York Times bestseller 'Willpower,' he has held positions at Case Western Reserve University, Florida State University, and others, receiving the William James Fellow Award in 2013.[1][2][4]
