Roxie Munro

Roxie Munro, born September 5, 1945, in Mineral Wells, Texas, is an acclaimed author-illustrator of over 45 nonfiction children's books, including STEM/STEAM concept books with mazes and interactive elements. She began her artistic career early, winning a county-wide art contest at age six, worked as a dress designer, television courtroom artist for clients like CBS and The Washington Post, and created fourteen covers for The New Yorker magazine. After studying art at several universities and earning a B.F.A. from the University of Hawaii, she moved to New York City, where she continues to exhibit her cityscape paintings in oils, watercolors, prints, and drawings.
