Roxanne Veletzos

Roxanne Veletzos was born in Bucharest, Romania, and moved to California with her family as a young teen, where she began writing short stories about her native Eastern Europe as a cathartic experience transitioning to a new culture.[1][2] She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from California State University, Northridge and has worked as an editor, content writer, and marketing manager for Fortune 500 companies.[1][2] Her debut novel, The Girl They Left Behind, is an international bestseller published in ten countries, and she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two sons.[2]
