Rosita Forbes

Rosita Forbes, born Joan Rosita Torr, was an English travel writer, novelist, and explorer known for her adventurous journeys across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. She gained wide attention after becoming the first European woman to visit the Kufra Oasis in Libya in 1920–1921 and later wrote extensively about her travels.
