Rosemary Alexander

Rosemary Alexander (born 1937) was a British garden designer, educator, author, and photographer who founded and served as principal of The English Gardening School at Chelsea Physic Garden in London in 1983.[2][3] She authored influential books on garden design such as The Essential Garden Design Workbook and The Garden Maker's Manual, lectured internationally, judged flower shows including Chelsea Flower Show, and received the RHS Veitch Memorial Medal in 2011.[1][2][3] She maintained a garden in Rogate, Hampshire, and specialized in planting combinations.[1][3]
