Rosamond Mitchell

Rosamond Mitchell is an Emeritus Professor in the School of Humanities and former Director of the Centre for Applied Language Research at the University of Southampton. She studied Early & Modern Irish at Trinity College Dublin, taught Irish and French at a Dublin comprehensive school, and moved to Scotland in the 1970s. She is a prominent scholar in applied linguistics, co-authoring the influential book 'Second Language Learning Theories' with Florence Myles.
