Ronald F. Youngblood
Ronald F. Youngblood (1931–2014) was an American Old Testament scholar, professor emeritus at Bethel Seminary, and renowned Bible translator who served on the committee for the New International Version (NIV), one of the best-selling English Bible translations. He authored over 20 books including commentaries on Genesis and Samuel, edited Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Dictionary, and held positions at institutions like Wheaton College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Youngblood also served as president of the Near East Archaeological Society and editor of the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society.
