Romesh Gunesekera

Romesh Gunesekera is a Sri Lankan-born British author born in Colombo in 1954, known for his novel Reef, which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 1994. He moved to London in 1972 after spending his childhood in Sri Lanka and the Philippines, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Gunesekera currently teaches creative writing at Goldsmiths University, London.
