Roger J. Porter

Roger J. Porter, MD, ScD, is a renowned neurologist and consultant specializing in anti-seizure drug development, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania. He previously retired from NINDS, NIH in 1992 and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in 2002, where he developed retigabine, and has since held leadership roles including Chief Scientific Officer of the Epilepsy Therapy Project. Born in Newark, New Jersey in 1936, he earned his B.A. from Amherst College and his Ph.D. from Yale University.
