Roger Duvoisin

Roger Antoine Duvoisin (1900/1904–1980) was a Swiss-born American writer and illustrator renowned for his children's picture books, featuring beloved characters like Petunia the goose and Veronica the hippo. He won the 1948 Caldecott Medal for White Snow, Bright Snow and illustrated over 140 books while authoring more than 40 of his own. Married to author Louise Fatio, he began his career in New York after moving from Switzerland in 1927.
