Roger Ames T.

Roger T. Ames is a Canadian-born philosopher, translator, and author known for his work on early Chinese thought, Confucian role ethics, and philosophically oriented translations of classical Chinese texts. He is Humanities Chair Professor at Peking University and Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, and has been widely influential in bringing Chinese philosophy into contemporary global ethical discourse.
