Roderic Jeffries
Roderic Jeffries (1926–) was a prolific British crime fiction author born in London, son of writer Graham Montague Jeffries (Bruce Graeme). He served in the Merchant Navy from 1943 to 1949, qualified as a barrister in 1952, but turned to full-time writing in 1954, producing over 160 novels under his name and pseudonyms like Peter Alding and Jeffrey Ashford. Best known for his Inspector Enrique Alvarez series set in Mallorca, Spain, where he resided.
