Rochelle Alers

Rochelle Alers is a prolific African American romance author and novelist, known for women's fiction with nearly two million copies of her novels in print and regular appearances on bestseller lists like Waldenbooks, Borders, and Essence. She has received numerous awards, including the Gold Pen Award, Emma Award, Vivian Stephens Award, Romantic Times Career Achievement Award, and Zora Neale Hurston Literary Award. Before writing, she earned degrees in sociology and psychology, worked as a pre-school teacher, and served as a Community Liaison Specialist for an abuse program on Long Island.
