Robin Hobb
Robin Hobb, the pen name of Margaret Astrid Lindholm Ogden, is an American fantasy author best known for her Realm of the Elderlings series, including the Farseer, Liveship Traders, Tawny Man, Rain Wild Chronicles, and Fitz and the Fool trilogies, starting with Assassin's Apprentice in 1995. Born in Oakland, California, in 1952, she grew up in California before her family moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, and she has also published extensively as Megan Lindholm in urban fantasy and science fiction. She has received awards such as the World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement Award and the Inkpot Award in 2017.
