Robin Brooks

Robin Brooks, PhD, is an associate professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh and a cultural and literary analyst specializing in Black communities in the United States and the African Diaspora. Her research intersects humanities and social sciences, focusing on contemporary literature, class inequalities, and social justice in African American and Anglophone Caribbean contexts. She is the author of 'Class Interruptions: Inequality and Division in African Diasporic Women’s Fiction' (UNC Press, 2022) and is working on a second book, 'Death Proximity: Grief and Emotional Wellness Stories in Black Communities.'
