Robie H. Harris ,
Robie H. Harris was an acclaimed American children's book author born in 1940, who began her career as an elementary school teacher at the Bank Street School for Children in New York City after graduate school. She transitioned to freelance writing in 1975, creating numerous books on children's growth, development, emotions, and sexual health, including the award-winning titles 'It's Perfectly Normal' and 'It's So Amazing!'. Harris, a Bank Street Graduate School of Education alumna from 1970, passed away on January 6, 2024, at age 83, leaving a legacy of honest storytelling on complex topics.
