Roberto J. Tejada
Roberto J. Tejada is a poet, art historian, curator, translator, and editor specializing in Latino and Latin American art, born in Los Angeles in 1964. He holds a BA in comparative literature from New York University and a PhD in interdisciplinary media studies from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and currently serves as the Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Distinguished Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Houston. His poetry collections include Still Nowhere in an Empty Vastness (2019), Full Foreground (2012), and Carbonate of Copper (2025), and he founded the journal Mandorla: New Writing from the Americas.
