Robert Zubrin
Robert Zubrin is an American aerospace engineer and author best known for devising the Mars Direct mission plan, a cost-effective strategy for human Mars exploration that leverages Martian resources. He is the founder and president of Pioneer Astronautics and the Mars Society, an international organization dedicated to furthering Mars exploration and settlement. Zubrin holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Washington and has authored over 200 technical papers and multiple books on space exploration.
