Robert William Eyton

Robert William Eyton (21 December 1815 – 8 September 1881) was an English Church of England clergyman and antiquary known for authoring The Antiquities of Shropshire. Born in Wellington, Shropshire, he was educated at Rugby and Christ Church, Oxford, before entering holy orders and serving as rector of Ryton. He is remembered for his extensive historical research on Shropshire, published in volumes from 1854 to 1860.
