Robert Traver
Robert Traver was the pseudonym of John Donaldson Voelker, an American lawyer, judge, and author born in Ishpeming, Michigan, on June 29, 1903. He practiced law, served as Marquette County prosecutor and Michigan Supreme Court justice, and wrote nearly a dozen books blending legal themes with his passion for trout fishing, most famously 'Anatomy of a Murder' (1958), adapted into a film by Otto Preminger. Voelker died in 1991.[1][5][6]
