Robert Stone
Robert Stone (1937–2015) was an American novelist, journalist, and college professor acclaimed for fiction exploring individuals in conflict with late 20th-century Western societies. He won the National Book Award in 1975 for his novel Dog Soldiers and was a five-time finalist for the National Book Award, twice a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, and once for the PEN/Faulkner Award. During his lifetime, he published eight novels, two story collections, and a memoir.
