Robert Nelson

Robert Nelson (1656–1715) was an English philanthropist and religious writer known for his devotional works, including the highly popular 'Companion for the Festivals and Fasts of the Church of England.' He was a prominent supporter of charity schools, the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, and the nonjuror movement, producing numerous controversial and devotional texts throughout his life.
