Robert McCloskey
Robert McCloskey (1914–2003) was an acclaimed American author and illustrator of children's books, best known for *Make Way for Ducklings*, which won the 1942 Caldecott Medal, and *Time of Wonder*, earning him a second Caldecott in 1958.[1][3] Born in Hamilton, Ohio, he wrote and illustrated eight picture books, many set in Maine where he later lived with his wife Peggy and their daughters, and received multiple Caldecott Honors for works like *Blueberries for Sal*.[2][4]
