Robert K. Tyson

Robert K. Tyson is a professor emeritus of physics and optical science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a background of 20 years in the aerospace industry designing optical systems for high-energy laser weapons. He is the author of seven books on adaptive optics, including the widely cited 'Principles of Adaptive Optics, 3rd edition.' He is a fellow of the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) and currently resides in Florida.
