Robert Gildea
Robert Nigel Gildea (born 12 September 1952) is a British historian and Emeritus Professor of Modern History at the University of Oxford. He is known for influential books on 19th- and 20th-century French and European history, including works on the French Revolution, the German occupation of France, the French Resistance, and 1968.
