Robert E. Webber

Robert E. Webber was an influential American theologian and author known for his pioneering work connecting modern worship practices with the early church, founding the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. He was a leading figure in the Convergence Movement, advocating for the blending of charismatic worship with liturgical traditions from the Book of Common Prayer. Webber served as a professor at Northern Seminary and Wheaton College before passing away in 2007 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
