Robert Coover
Robert Coover (1932–2024) was an influential American novelist, short story writer, and professor known for his experimental metafiction, fabulation, and pioneering work in electronic literature. Born in Charles City, Iowa, he won the William Faulkner Award for his debut novel *The Origin of the Brunists* (1966) and gained acclaim for *The Public Burning* (1977), while teaching at Brown University for over 30 years and founding the Electronic Literature Organization.[1][3][2]
