Robert Butler

Robert Olen Butler is an American author known for his lyrical and emotionally resonant fiction, often exploring themes of identity, war, and the immigrant experience. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1993 for his short story collection 'A Good Scent from a Strange Mountain,' which draws on his experiences as a Vietnam War veteran. Butler has published numerous novels and short story collections, and he teaches creative writing at Florida State University.
