Robert Barnwell Roosevelt

Robert Barnwell Roosevelt (1829–1906) was an American sportsman, author, lawyer, Democratic politician, and pioneer conservationist who served as a U.S. Representative from New York (1871–1873) and U.S. Minister to the Netherlands (1888–1889).[1][2] A prominent uncle of President Theodore Roosevelt, he was active in New York political, social, and conservation circles during the late 19th century.[1]
