Robert Barnes

Robert Barnes (c. 1495 – 30 July 1540) was an English reformer, martyr, and prior of the Austin Friars in Cambridge. He preached against clerical corruption, fled to Wittenberg after persecution, befriended Martin Luther, and was eventually burned at the stake in 1540 for his Protestant views.[1][7]
