Robert A. Mechikoff
Robert A. Mechikoff is a professor at UCLA's School of Education & Information Studies, where he teaches graduate courses in the Transformative Coaching and Leadership program since 2019, specializing in sport history and philosophy.[1][3][5] He earned an M.A. from California State University, Long Beach in 1975 and a Ph.D. in Sport History and Philosophy from The Ohio State University, and is a life member of the International Society of Olympic Historians.[1][3] Mechikoff is a published textbook author known for 'A History and Philosophy of Sport and Physical Education,' with expertise in ancient and modern Olympic Games, sports in antiquity, and U.S. physical education history.[2][4][5][6]
