RL Stine

R.L. Stine (Robert Lawrence Stine) is an American novelist born in Columbus, Ohio, best known for creating the Goosebumps series, which has sold over 400 million copies globally and become the second-best-selling book series in history. He began his career writing humor and joke books before transitioning to horror fiction in 1986 with Blind Date, followed by the Fear Street series in 1989, establishing himself as the 'Stephen King of children's literature.'
