Ritchie-Calder Lord

Peter Ritchie Ritchie-Calder, Baron Ritchie-Calder (1906–1982), was a Scottish socialist writer, journalist, and academic known as one of the 20th century's best-known scientific journalists[1][2]. He was a prominent peace activist, serving as president of the British Peace Council and a leader in the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, and was also a leading member of the humanist movement[2][4]. He became Lord Ritchie-Calder in 1966 and published thirty-one books on topics ranging from popular science to energy and environmental pollution[2][4].
