Riley Black

Riley Black is an award-winning American paleontologist and science writer based in Salt Lake City, Utah, known for her critically acclaimed books on fossils, dinosaurs, and evolution. She has written more than 10 books including the USA Today bestseller The Last Days of the Dinosaurs, which won the 2023 AAAS/Subaru Prize for Excellence in Science Books, and regularly contributes to publications like Smithsonian, National Geographic, and Slate. Black has also served as a consultant and resident paleontologist for the Jurassic World franchise.
