Rick Szostak
Rick Szostak (born October 27, 1959) is a Canadian economist and interdisciplinary scholar, Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Alberta, where he joined the Department in 1985, served as Chair from 2017 to 2022, and retired in 2023.[1][2][4] He earned his B.A. from McGill University and Ph.D. from Northwestern University, and has authored over 20 books and 100 articles or book chapters on economic history, interdisciplinarity, knowledge organization, world history, and future studies.[1][3][4]
