Rick Riordan
Richard Russell Riordan Jr., born June 5, 1964, in San Antonio, Texas, is an American author best known for his Percy Jackson & the Olympians series and other works in the Camp Half-Blood Chronicles, blending Greek mythology with modern settings.[1][2] A former middle school English and history teacher for fifteen years in Texas and the San Francisco Bay Area, he began his writing career with the award-winning Tres Navarre mystery series for adults before turning to children's fiction inspired by bedtime stories for his son.[4][5] His books have achieved massive popularity, with series like Heroes of Olympus, Kane Chronicles, and Trials of Apollo following.[1][2]
