Richard Wright
Richard Wright (1908–1960) was an influential African American novelist, short-story writer, and essayist whose work confronted racial injustice and the realities of Black life in the United States. He is best known for Native Son and Black Boy, and he later lived in France as an expatriate, where he continued writing until his death.
