Richard William Pfaff

Richard William Pfaff (1936–2016) was an American historian and ordained Episcopal priest who specialized in medieval English liturgy. A professor of history at the University of North Carolina, he was elected a Fellow of the Medieval Academy of America in 2000 and authored six books along with numerous scholarly articles on ecclesiastical history, liturgical manuscripts, and medieval libraries.
