Richard Walters

Richard Walter is an American author, educator, screenwriter, commentator, consultant, and chairman of the University of California, Los Angeles graduate program in screenwriting. He has authored several works on screenwriting, including Essentials of Screenwriting (2010), The Whole Picture, and Screenwriting: The Art, Craft and Business of Film and Television Writing, as well as novels like Escape from Film School, Barry and the Persuasions, and his latest satire Deadpan published in December 2024.
