Richard Wagner
Richard Wagner (1813–1883) was a German composer, theatre director, essayist, and conductor best known for his operas, often called music dramas. He was highly influential in Western music, and is especially associated with the monumental Ring cycle, as well as works such as Tristan und Isolde and Parsifal.
