Richard T. Ford

Richard Thompson Ford is the George E. Osborne Professor of Law at Stanford Law School, specializing in critical race theory, civil rights, antidiscrimination law, housing segregation, and employment discrimination. He has authored several acclaimed books, including 'The Race Card' (2008), 'Rights Gone Wrong' (2011), and 'Dress Codes: How the Laws of Fashion Made History' (2021), with two selected as New York Times Notable Books. Ford graduated from Stanford University in 1988 and Harvard Law School in 1991, has taught at top law schools, practiced at Morrison & Foerster, and served as a San Francisco Housing Authority commissioner.
