Richard S Wheeler

Richard Shaw Wheeler (1935–2019) was an American author and former newspaper editor best known for his novels set in the American West, including the Barnaby Skye series.[1][2] He authored over 80 books, primarily westerns and historical fiction, and received six Spur Awards from the Western Writers of America, the 2001 Owen Wister Award for lifetime contributions to Western literature, and induction into its Hall of Fame in 2015.[1][2]
