Richard Rayner

Richard Rayner, born in Bradford, England, in 1955, is a British-American author known for his multi-genre works including memoirs, novels, and journalism. He studied philosophy and law at Cambridge University, worked as an editor at Time Out and Granta magazines, and later moved to Los Angeles where he writes for publications like the Los Angeles Times and New York Times. His debut book, Los Angeles Without a Map (1988), blends fiction and travelogue and was adapted into a film, while other notable works include the memoir The Blue Suit and the crime novel Murder Book.
