Richard Harris

Richard Harris was an Irish actor and singer who rose to prominence as an icon of the British New Wave in the 1960s. Known for his flamboyant performances and offstage indulgences, he received two Academy Award nominations for Best Actor and achieved international recognition for roles in films such as This Sporting Life (1963), Camelot (1967), Gladiator (2000), and as Professor Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter films. He also had a successful singing career, with his 1968 single 'MacArthur Park' becoming a major hit.
