Richard Haddock
Sir Richard Haddock (c. 1629–1715) was a Royal Navy officer who served during the Anglo-Dutch Wars and rose to the rank of Admiral in August 1690. Born at Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, he came from a seafaring family and also served as the first Commissioner of Victualling for the Royal Navy. He was a member of Parliament and a prominent figure in naval administration during the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
